Wes Redecorates

With an utter lack of concern for the things on my To-Do list, Wes decided to do his own brand of “fixing up”.

The cat door he always enjoyed because it had a much better view than the rest of the door provided,

onetook it’s last bit of abuse last night.  After 3 years of him flinging himself against it, whenever Tallulah (stray) came to say hello, the screen finally gave way.

Neither one of us was pleased with the result so this morning I went to Home Depot.

Yup.  Got a new door.

Didn’t think about how it was going to not fit into my car.

three halfI had less than 8″ of clearance to the windshield, it barely fit width-wise, and I got to drive home with a screen door pressing on the top of my head.

fourMark this project as mostly done.  Something isn’t right when it closes and there’s too big of a gap at the bottom. Also, the lock plate has to be installed.  This will all wait until Tom gets home from work because I hear my list calling.

For my next job, I think I'll work on replacing the couch in the den.

  1. Wes is so handsome! I love the white marking on his forehead and those blue eyes. The door looks great and glad you were able to squeeze yourself in the car to get it home!
