Seed time

This weekend, I’m going to be buried in the seed catalogs. It’s going to be INTENSE! Well, at least it’s going to be fun. And no better time to think of growing season than when it’s snowing outside.

I got a big box from Marisol this week, for our After-The-Holiday swap.

2 skeins of Nashua Creative Focus Chunky in a pretty turquoise. A bar of soap from Blessed Juno in Hand Knit. Very pretty smell! And a knitted flower washcloth. It’s the Reverse-Bloom Flower Washcloth by Cindy Taylor from Interweave Knits Winter 2003.

I keep looking at this pattern and have been wanting to make one for a while. And she made one for me!

Amazing, Marisol!

Dark chocolate covered graham crackers and chocolate covered sunflower seeds. And a bag of San Francisco Sunshine coffee. YUMMMMM!

Atonement by Ian McEwan and a cute notebook. And look at her card. It’s HER banner.

Ah, Marisol. You know me so well! Food, books, yarn. The TRIFECTA of gifts!

Thanks, girlfriend!!!

  1. I had a really good time selecting these items for you as well! Some special treats to pass the time:)

Glad you are enjoying everything. Let me know how you like the book:)

  2. What a haul! I love the washcloth! It’s in my pattern a day calendar (talk about ways to make yourself NUTS – a pattern a day, dear Lord!) and I’ve been meaning to make it. Glad it looks so cute in “real life,” too.
