Happy Birthday To ME!
How I Avoided The Arrabiata Sauce
Well, Tom’s still away and I’m trying to get some things done around the house. Most of that involves NOT being at home and shopping for yarn, online.
Yeah, it’s tough.
Monday night I sat at the computer and watched the updates for Sophie’s Toes. Thursday, THIS showed up at my door.
The colorway is "Good Earth" and it’s a bit richer in the brown/gold area than it’s showing.
The background is part of a gift that I got from Tom.
It’s a portable lighting studio with 2 colors of "cloth", the 2 lights and the box. There’s also a mini tripod.
Since I don’t really know how to use it properly, my photos will
suck not be the greatest until Tom gets home.
I did a bit of shopping during the day, including a trip to a LYS, where I bought…yarn!
ArtYarns Ultramerino 4. It’s a funky kind of color but I really like it.
Then my knitty peeps took me to dinner. And not to a place with a clown and a ball room!
And I got presents! Whoo-hoo!
Choco-licious goodness, from Chris. (I’ve already bitten into about 1/3 of them!)
Claudia’s Handpainted Silk lace yarn, from Jeanne. Colorway "Plumicious".
And some assorted goodies. One of them is an inside joke and the other is ’cause I LURVE post-its.
There is another gift from Chris but I’ve already put it to good use, as a stitch marker holder for my Shoppe.
I had a wonderful time, even though there was a slight "horror film" moment.
I won’t say who got "hit" but there was a fair amount of laughing, crying and snorting. (Me. I snorted!)
And, of course, there was the restaurant staff singing to me, along with "Blow Out 2007"
Note to self. Before handing someone the camera, take off the Manual and put on the Auto Focus. My head? HUGE looking. Almost as big as the dessert of Chocolate Gelati. YUM!
I had a wonderful time with the girls. And I’m so lucky they’re in my life. True Friends. Friends that abuse me…but friends none the less!
And I don’t feel a day over 28!
