Just found out that I won something!

Chris had a contest and I won a hand-made shawl pin.  If you’re in the market for a pretty shawl pin, check out her Etsy shop.

I finished the Cedar Creek Socks. Cedar_creek_done

It ONLY took me about 2 months.  My usual sock time is 2 weeks, so these should have taken no more than 3 weeks.

But the time calculates like this:

Sock knitting time divided by the co-efficient of KITTEN, plus claws with a factor of V.E.T. = 2 months.

Look about right?

If I had read the box, I still wouldn’t have hesitated.

Package

(He considers this "hiding".  He also likes to "hide" in a tissue box.  Just the head in the box and, POOF!, he’s gone.)

  1. Love your sockage! I just turned the heel on my first one ;o) (I’ve been working on mine since I got the yarn…I think you finished yours faster…)

  2. That cat is a hoot!!! Josh’s cat George was a nut about ‘hiding’ as well.

OMG-your Green gable T is coming out gorgeous-I can see it on you already :)-this one will be a keeper that you don’t store away in a drawer. It is beautiful!!!

Congrats on the pin-winning is always fun!

    ttyl-
    a.

  3. I want to see a photo of your shawl pin!

You did a fantastic job on the Cedar Creek Socks Laurie. Is it cold where you are or are you just getting prepared…smile. Just kidding!

  4. I’ve been working the heel flap on a sock for months now. Well, I couldn’t remember what I did for the first heel, got bored & yanked out the needles to use on another project.

No book yet. Hopefully there will be something for me in the mail when I get home today 🙂

  5. Hey, Laurie! I hope you like the Anita Blake books! I have read the “Undead and…” series, which I particularly enjoy, because I live in Minneapolis. 😉

  6. Gawd… Wes is so cute. Laughing at your pics as I am so familiar with the many poses.

Sooo digging the socks! And sooo understand how knitting takes about 5 times longer than the pre-kitten years!

  7. Woohoo! Finished socks! Believe me, I’ve been there when what normally takes you two weeks can take a ton longer… life just gets in the way sometimes…
