No matter how hot it is outside, I’ve gotten out there and watered the veggie garden. I may have sweat as much as I watered.
Yes, it’s a lovely visual.
Want something to get that image out of your head?

The long cukes…they’re really long. Today’s longest was 18″.
Then there was the second ripe cherry tomato. I ate the first one before I’d backed away from the plant. Strange thing is that they’re ripening one tomato, one day at a time.

And just so you don’t think I’ve given up on knitting

Only about 40 more rows to go, 18 stitches per row. I can only do a few rows at a time because my hands start to sweat. One of the downfalls of Summer knitting.
Oops. I guess that visual is back.
Horses sweat, men perspire and ladies? Glow!!! That’s what my nan always said!! Wow, lovely cucumbers and how considerate for the tomatoes to ripen one delicious mouthful at a time!!
Yay for cucumbers! Ours decided not to grow.
I did harvest our first tomatoes yesterday and had several orange ones, so maybe I’ll get more than a couple in a few more days.
I’m completely with you on the summer knitting. Not my most favorite way to spend time lately. :-/
