As Hot As The Sun(day)

No matter how hot it is outside, I’ve gotten out there and watered the veggie garden. I may have sweat as much as I watered.

Yes, it’s a lovely visual.

Want something to get that image out of your head?

The long cukes…they’re really long. Today’s longest was 18″.

Then there was the second ripe cherry tomato. I ate the first one before I’d backed away from the plant. Strange thing is that they’re ripening one tomato, one day at a time.

And just so you don’t think I’ve given up on knitting

Only about 40 more rows to go, 18 stitches per row. I can only do a few rows at a time because my hands start to sweat. One of the downfalls of Summer knitting.

Oops. I guess that visual is back.

This Moment_Garden Style

this moment (via Big Geek Knit Blog) – A Friday ritual. A single photo (or video) – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor, and remember. If you’re inspired to do the same, leave a link to your ‘moment’ in the comments for all to find and see.

Wordless Wednesday – The Garden Version

Cukes Gone Wild

There’s a lot going on in the garden but knitting has been slow. This week will be all about the green thumbs.

For Kim

While she prepares for the Knitters’ Hunk contest, here’s a bit of hunkiness to help her along.

Tom was a good sport and took these photos at the AT&T National golf tournament, from Aronimink Golf Club, Newtown Square, PA. I won’t say we stalked Adam Scott but we did stay in one spot until he showed up.

Knitta’s (and Hookers*) On The Rise

Once again, Ravelry makes the news. Read here in Slate.

*Oh, let’s see how many hits I get from that.
